Summer is quickly approaching, and it is important to remember a few key summer safety tips.

One very important tip is to have a home security alarm, which I got through ADT home Security in Las Vegas. People tend to leave their garage doors open when the weather is warmer. Criminals target homes with open front and garage doors in the summer months, so it is important to keep your home and family protected.

Another very important safety tip is to remember to wear sunscreen. Direct exposure to sunlight can cause cancer and it is very important to keep your skin safe. Anytime you or your kids are going to leave the house, be sure to apply at least 30 SPF sunscreen.

One tip a lot of people forget about before it’s too late is remembering to apply insect repellent. Pesky insects can be a nuisance in the summer and it is important to keep a bottle of insect repellent handy.

One last tip is vehicle safety. Vehicles get very hot very quickly in the summer. It is very important not to leave children or pets unattended in vehicles for any amount of time in the summer. A hot vehicle could be potentially lethal for pets and humans alike.
